Where to start? I am originally from Rome, Italy. I moved in Colorado in 2003. Started my family with my husband and kind of forgot what my real dreams were. I have a background in Industrial Design and Pastry. After I moved to the USA dedicate myself to raise our boys (now 7 and 3), working full time and the much well known grinding began. One day I made a batch of caramel ganache chocolate, an Italian recipe, and brought them at work. I can say that it all came back to me, after that was the beginning of my obsession. I had so much to say, to give and to create, about 10 years worth of it! Two years of recipe developing brought to the creation of DesiderioChocolates in January of 2008. Since then I came long way, lots of things have changed and my vision as moved slightly. I turned toward a vegetarian life style early in 2010, and so did my confections. I am also obsessed in researching ingredients, organic, local, fair trade and just simple natural. I cannot think of making something that requires me so much time, effort and love without using the best of the ingredients I can find.
