About

Hi! I'm Elise, the owner of Designs by Noa. I'm a stay-at-home-mom with my three wonderful children and live in Israel.

Designs by Noa was borne from my passion for fashion and my need to be creative. I studied fashion merchandising and went to F.I.T. in High School for several jewelry and fashion courses. I later changed my major and got my degree in Nutrition but my first love has always been fashion.

My biggest inspiration was my grandmother and she has been a huge influence in all my creative endeavors. When we lived in New Jersey, she would come to visit us from Boston and I would sit beside her as she worked. She was an amazing artist who worked in oil paints, watercolors, ceramics, crochet, knitting, needlepoint, silk painting and jewelry to name but a few! About

She really could do it all and I was in awe of her. At one time she made safety pin bracelets to sell at markets and I would sit and help her bead those safety pins in colorful patterns. I think that was where my love for jewelry started.

I've been very fortunate to have some recognition for my jewelry designs and had my boho leather wrap bracelet featured for a series of boho themed fashion photos on Beyond the Wanderlust Photography Blog. You can view the photos here http://dld.bz/d2VS2. It was wonderful to see my designs in these lovely fashion photos. The featured bracelet is now my best seller and has been sold on every continent in the world and was shipped to 50 US States.
That's the amazing thing of course by being able to sell online, I can reach so many people.

I've also worked many craft shows both in the US and in Israel. I guess this was my
grandmother's influence again but I do love the face-to-face contact with my customers. My favorite market was a weekly show in the sea port of Tel Aviv where people came from all over the world. I love the international feel and mixing of lots of cultures and I think this is reflected in my jewelry designs.

I enjoy working with a wide variety of quality materials. I like to try everything and
experiment with different ideas all the time. That's the gift I got from grandma.
