***Please note: Due to the ongoing economic recession I am currently unable to maintain an inventory of mohair doll locks. However, I hope to have my mohair doll locks available again sometime in the future. Please check back, thank you!***

I meticulously hand process all of my mohair. The locks are washed three times then hand-dyed. After dyeing the locks are soaked and rinsed several times and allowed to dry. They are then thoroughly combed, one lock at a time, to remove tangles and debris. (You will find that there is little or no waste when rooting.) I meticulously hand process all of my mohair. The locks are washed three times then hand-dyed. After dyeing the locks are soaked and rinsed several times and allowed to dry. They are then thoroughly combed, one lock at a time, to remove tangles and debris. (You will find that there is little or no waste when rooting.) Also, they are carefully checked with a magnifying glass to ensure they are completely free of dirt and debris. Then they are carefully conditioned and rinsed again, one lock at a time. The whole process takes several hours (10-12 hours per day) over several days but the results are soft, shimmering, and sweet smelling ready-to-use locks for any project you have in mind. The dyes used on this fiber are made especially for mohair. They contain no hazardous materials and are CPSIA compliant.

My mohair texture generally falls into five categories and prices:

Super Satin - almost completely straight locks, $28 per half ounce.*

Satin - relaxed flowing waves with just a bit of curl, $24 per half ounce.*

Regular - rippled or wavy curls, most mohair falls into this category, $21 per half ounce.

White or Natural Color - $19 per half ounce.

"Wild Spirit" - a fly-away, wispier textured fiber, excellent for bi-racial hair, $18 per half ounce.

***NEW*** Mini Mohair Selections - these are economically priced quarter ounce units of mohair offered for artisans who don't need the larger amount of mohair usually required for most rooting projects, $9 per quarter ounce.

*Straighter fiber is harder to come by so it is priced accordingly.
