I just love to use my jewelers saw and construct pieces where the focus is piercework, you know those little cut-outs. My designs could be identified as, just curvy doodles. I love matte finish and have a special affinity for pearls. Mixing vintage tintypes into my work is a passion. Recently, I have gotten into micro shell forming using the NC Black hammers. Incorporating spiculums into my piercework has given me a whole new dimension to my work. I choose to construct bracelets, pendants and earrings using that micro shell forming technique along with my piercework.
Working with metal came to me late in life. I was retired from teaching Gr. 4,5,6, when I took my first metals class in 2004 from Kristin Beeler at our community college.
