About

As an artist I have made use of many different mediums. I have an interest in just about anything of a creative nature. Hence opening a second shop. My primary shop, Wool Sculptures, is all about creating animals, wild life and custom pieces. You can visit my main shop at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/WoolSculptures?ref=si_shop

Having worked in the printing industry for many years I do layout and design, from the simple to the complex. I use my sewing machine as another area of artistic expression. I received my advanced education at the University of West Virginia, majoring in art. This has been an enormous help to me in many areas of my life. For me education is an ongoing process. If I'm not creating, I'm reading. So many things yet to learn!

One of my goals was to be published and last year I met that goal. One of my needle felted holiday ornament designs was chosen for the Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Crafts magazine. It can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/33459648@N07/page5/, as well as here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/33459648@N07/page4/

If you have a moment take a peek at my animal and character sculptures: http://www.etsy.com/shop/WoolSculptures They are sure to bring a smile to your face, and, if that is the only thing you take away from my shop, it will be time well spent.
