Somewhere back in the 70’s my journey to repurpose and upcycle began. I remember making Barbie clothes out of old curtains or whatever interesting fabric I could find around the house and searching for colored electrical wire found along our country road. Thrift stores and yard sales have always been a place for treasure hunting and I have been known to bring rusty metal gadgets home just because they look interesting. These days I use my resourcefulness to create jewelry and art. My favorite items to use are metal gears, pocket watches, gadgets, skeleton keys, copper wire, nature and whatnots. I love steampunk! Anything rusty and distressed will get my attention and starts my creative juices flowing.
I consider myself a multi-media artist. When I’m not upcycling, I enjoy playing with clay, fusing glass and creating with metals. During the summer you can find me most Saturdays…
