I am, among other things, a life-long artist/crafts-person. At a very young age, my way of playing with dolls, (back then called "bride dolls," way before Barbie), was to design and make clothes for them.
My training as an artist started with a correspondence art school, (Art Instruction, Inc.) when I was in high school. This was followed by a number of other art schools and colleges/universities throughout my life. I accumulated a BA in Human Services along the way and completed a Masters in Art Therapy from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont California.
I have been designing and creating my own jewelry, and then to sell, for many years. My formal training in jewelry metal work was at the Santa Fe Community College; I learned gemstone cutting and polishing from an accomplished stone-man friend. I taught myself to make…
