I live on a farm in Southwestern Ontario with my husband and daughter and 1 dog, 5 cats, 12 geese, a bunch of hens and 11 alpacas.
I've always had an interest in working with fiber, first with knitting and crocheting, then weaving and finally the actual spinning of the fiber into yarn. That lead me to convince my husband, who is a full time cash crop farmer, to get some alpacas. He calls them his fuzzy space aliens. My daughter has also caught the knitting/crocheting/weaving bug. She was in the local 4-H weaving club for a few years, so she knows more about weaving then I do (right!). Together we collaborate on what to make with the yarn and fiber that we have accumulated from our alpacas.
One of the philosophies that we "try" to live by, is to not leave a very big footprint in this world. We recycle as much as possible for one thing,…
