About

Born in Pittsburgh, I have always enjoyed creating art and sculptures.
At age 9, my father introduced me to gas, arc welding, brazing, wood working, construction and shop principles. His training combined with a profound admiration for art, nature and science fiction, inspired me to create a large variety of sculptures throughout my childhood.

Throughout my schooling, I would submit a sculpture when assignments allowed, and sometimes when they didn’t. While attending The Art Institute of Pittsburgh I was invited to submit an entry in The Science Fiction and Film Festival which featured local as well as national artists. My 8-foot-long model spaceship, named the Zora Astra won a special judges award.

Working in the advertising field for 20 years as an art director, I was ‘responsible for designing displays,…

About

Born in Pittsburgh, I have always enjoyed creating art and sculptures.

While attending The Art Institute of Pittsburgh I was invited to submit an entry in The Science Fiction and Film Festival which featured local as well as national artists. My 8-foot-long model spaceship, named the Zora Astra won a special judges award.

Working in the advertising field for 20 years as an art director, I was ‘responsible for designing displays, brochures, catalogs, instruction manuals, corporate identity material, packaging, billboards, ads and model making.

In 1998, it was time to professionally promote the sculptures, which included corporate commissions, art furniture, contemporary, indoor/outdoor, stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel and robot assemblage sculptures.

In addition to sculptures, I’ve been responsible for the large-scale train layout at the annual PPG Place Gingerbread House Competition and Train Display now in its 8th year. It’s a nice holiday project with a lot of great energy!
