From a very young age, I knew that I would grow up to be a designer-crafter-left brain imaginer. Sometimes I thought my parents wanted to kill me every time I put a new hole in the wall or changed the furniture around in my room or started a new project that was larger than life and would be up until 2:00 in the morning trying to finish it for school the next day. Even in the midst of their anger, they always encouraged me towards success and for that I am forever grateful. As I've gotten older, thankfully I have learn (it's a daily process though) to harness that imagination and put it to work.

I graduated from Liberty University with a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences...within that major, my specialization/concentration was interior design. I've worked for a high-end design firm, drapery company, decorative home accent store, paint store, kitchen and bath showroom, and more recently I am working as a teller in a bank. At this point, I'm not so sure how that fits into the picture of my life, but I sure am learning a lot and that's just as important.

This shop is dedicated to my mom, Donna Marie Parris. She was so full of life and a true life giver. She was a great encourager to me and such a support. My family and I started an IRS-approved Scholarship Fund, called The Donna Draft Parris Music Scholarship Fund in her memory, which you can read about here...www.designstylesinteriors.com/musicscholarship

10% of the proceeds from this shop will go to that Fund.

When I originally started making handcrafted items, my first love was making purses...simple, useful, practical purses...all shapes and sizes. You'll still see purses in my shop, but you'll also so all kinds of personal accessories. If you're looking for handcrafted items for you or your home, then visit my other shop at www.shopdesignstyles.etsy.com
