Welcome to Dot!
The first time I realized I had the creative bug was when I was 7, when my crafty Grandma Dot taught me how to sew. I was hooked on the concept of picking my own elements and putting them together however I wanted--what an amazing discovery! So I was off and running from there. As I got older, I took an interest in decorating and photography, too. My hands always had to be building or creating something. But as soon as I had my first art class in High School, I realized that creating on paper was my absolute true love.

I am now a graphic designer who has designed for everyone from individuals to huge corporations over the years. I struck out on my own as a freelancer in early 2008 under the name Dot Design (named after my Grandma, of course!). I soon discovered that my favorite type of client is the bride.

I really enjoy designing with the sole purpose of making someone's big day really special. So naturally, Dot Wedding Papers & Stationery was born.

I feel that the invitation sets the tone for the entire event. This comes from my background in marketing & branding. A good invitation will tell a guest about the couple's style and what to expect at the wedding itself. The invitation, wedding fashion, reception decor, flowers, place cards, favor tags, menus, thank yous, etc should all tie into each other and create a seamless "feel" for your event. That's why I encourage customers to contact me as soon as they know when the wedding date is so that I can help to weave in all their ideas into the design.

I am inspired by everything from old architecture and fabrics to modern art and furniture. I tend to gravitate towards clean lines and graphic patterns and love using COLOR.

Weddings are a big deal here, but I do designs for all the big life events: babies, anniversaries, birthdays and more. I am still building my portfolio on Etsy, so custom jobs are my pleasure (each event is unique!). Please "convo" me with details and I'll get right back to you with a quote and timing. I also have lots of cost-cutting tricks up my sleeve, so please don't hesitate to let me know your budget ahead of time and I'll make it work for you.

Happy Shopping!
