About

When I took a pottery class in college in the 50's,and fell in love with the Potter's Wheel, I promised myself I'd do it again some day. Here I am, a retired psychologist with ten grandchildren, having the time of my life doing what I love to do.

To me, working in clay is like going back to the earth. It has a very mystical quality about it. When working on the wheel, one is able to shut out the rest of the world, as we do during meditation. As we progress, we begin to feel that we have become one with the clay, and the process of centering begins....
We mold, shape, alter, blend, carve, add, push, pull, hit, and smooth, until we are satisfied with our piece. The glaze is like icing on the cake!
