About

Hello! Welcome to Dyanna San Jewelry. I would like to thank you for stopping by our shop today. I’m Diane and I have been a crafts person all my life, starting with learning to crochet from my 4th grade teacher. I was the mom that made all the quilts, drapes, afghans and pillows in my house.

I found a Silversmith (Tom P) with 30 years experience in my area and started classes with him. From the first time I jumped when lighting the touch, I was hooked.

In 2004 while I pursued my MBA I needed a new craft to perk my interest. So I took a “How to make a Bracelet” class at the local library. Within two weeks Dyanna San Jewelry was born. I found a Silversmith (Tom P) with 30 years experience in my area and started classes with him. From the first time I jumped when lighting the touch, I was hooked. Taking the sterling silver from a piece of wire and making it into a ring or pendent just amazes me.

Often people will ask me where I came up with the Dyanna San Jewelry’s name and I will say that there is a story behind it. Between 1994 and 1998 I worked for Japanese Bank in downtown Chicago. During my work there I had 3 different bosses, all from mainland Japan. My first name seemed to be a problem for them. Diane became Diana and no mater how often I told them they could not get it right. Because I was a Miss at the time and San means Miss in Japanese I became Diana San or Miss Diana. When I needed a name for the business Miss Diane Jewelry just did not seem to flow off the tongue like Dyanna San Jewelry.

I hope you like my jewelry and if you have any questions just send me an e-mail via Etsy. Have fun shopping now.
