About

My name is Erin and I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Biola University in Los Angeles CA in 2008. I have always LOVED making things. When I was growing up my mom opened an antique business with one of her friends and it opened up my eyes to the beauty and history of old things. It didn't take me long to decide that I wanted to combine these two loves.

My idea of a wonderful work of art is something that will bring beauty into your life everyday. As an Interdisciplinary Art Major I was able to make lots of different things; I did some drawing, some painting, photography, ceramics, even installation and performance art.

There was one thing in common between everything that I loved in all of these different mediums: I loved when my art interacted with people in an everyday way.

I love things of beauty that are not confined to a gallery or museum. Most people really NEED beauty in the everyday moments of their life and they don't always have a chance to drive to a gallery or head out to the park. I make things for those times when you are just doing what you always do; things like cooking, cleaning, eating a meal. I want my hotpads make you happy while you are cooking, and my dishes to make that little cup of tea a little bit more of a retreat, and my paintings to hang in your house and make your life just a little more colorful. And maybe you will think about the history of that vintage fabric or maybe you will think about the colors that go into a photo but whether you think about them consciously or not, I hope that my art (and craft) will brighten up your life in a lot of little ways every day.

Since graduating I have showed both my art and crafts in the Feat of Clay Gallery, Old Faithful Antiques, and in several temporary shows including four consecutive City of Farmington Art Walks, and two Recycled Art Shows. My vintage material aprons were also highlighted in a special recycling window feature in April at Old Faithful Antiques.
