Erin Kay Spangler's Profile
Most days I can be found in my barn studio with my young daughter and husband, on my family's 25 acres in rural Fairmount, Georgia. When I am not in my studio I am running around our property taking care or our ponies, goats, and other little critters or out on the water kayaking with my husband and daughter. Surrounded by nature helps inspire my creations.
I received my BFA with a concentration in Ceramics and Photography, where I have applied my hours of research in Native American culture and arts as well as other earth based cultures into my work.
My family and I are working hard to make our little acreage self sustaining with the hopes of one day returning to the simpler ways of life, relying more on the land than on others. My barn studio was hand built by my husband who now occupies the lower half with his metal shop…
