Sandy Comeau's Profile

About

I am the CEO and janitor of Earthly Delight Natural Soap "company". I have been teaching the art of making natural soap since 1998. Lots of my students are right here on Etsy! How cool is that?

I care about Mother Earth and try to live as wholesome as possible. Being a "Chef" of soaps has allowed me to be kind to Mother Earth as well make a product that is actually needed and good for a task we do often: cleaning our beautiful bodies.

In everything I create, I first think of the environment. For example, I wrap most of my soap in a very thin, and barely waxed paper with a simple paper wrap and I make sure any paper I use is a recycled product before I use it as a label.

The cold processed method I use (also called the "kettle" method) to make soap, is the traditional technique used for centuries for making soap. This timeless approach creates a pure soap that gently cleans without stripping away natural body oils.
I use the finest olive, coconut and palm oils and travel once a month to Pokagon State Park for fresh spring water to create my soaps.

I offer some other products I create that I believe can enhance our lives without harming the planet. Enjoy the shop and convo me if you have any questions or comments.

And, on a personal note...gardening, small furry animals and German Shepherds named Shayla are my passions as well as plucking fresh eggs from the hen house. And, I actually grow and can most of the food Hubby and I consume! My canned pickles and catsup are world renowned (not really). But, visitors to our "farmette" are always excited by the presence of home canned food on the dinner table.
