Welcome to Paper & Plarn!

My name is Monica, I run this shop and am very excited that you decided to visit it. I'm an artist with many odd jobs. I like to play with plastic and paper because they are so abundant in my life. Sustainability through Materials: I gather post-consumer materials through methods that avoid overuse of resources, promote reduction of industrial waste, and educate the community on the characteristics of the materials. Other newly sourced materials (such as paper raffia for gift wrapping) have been selected for giving the design its eco-friendly characteristics.

Local travel: The material used in the products travels locally reducing the polluting consequences of transportation.

Reduced Packaging: I use post-consumer, handmade, up-cycled or recycled packaging and labeling. Each item is properly labeled to promote the reuse and proper disposal of the packaging.
