About

Hi, my name is Kedran. Welcome to my Passion!

I have a very supportive husband, three amazing kids and a very large family, all of whom I love and cherish. I love to create. I love anything and everything unique. I am detail oriented (especially the small details). I love to draw, and paint and doodle. I love what I have to share with you and I hope you will too.

Here's the story of how Echo Name Art became my passion! Hang with me, it will all make sense in the end.

PART ONE: I was blessed with an uncommon name. Of course, when I was small I didn't think it was a blessing. Nobody could pronounce it correctly and forget about anyone remembering it (some of my cousins still call me Cookie). I was always disappointed when I couldn't find my name on any personalized trinket for sale (I still look…just in case).

But now, I love the uniqueness of my name (I even share my name with my niece – Kedron and my great-niece – Keadryn). That’s really a blessing.

PART TWO: When I was in the fifth grade, sitting in class listening to the teacher read the story of the day, I began drawing this special kind of flower. It had five petals and each petal was filled with tiny lines of color. Sometimes the petals were all the same, sometimes each petal was different. I must have drawn hundreds of them. I didn't keep them, I just drew them.

I don't remember drawing this particular flower after the fifth grade, but I doodled constantly on everything. I not sure when I drew my name and surrounded it with lines of color for the first time, but it happened and I loved, loved, loved it and kept doing it for years (it was a favorite babysitting activity to keep kids occupied).

PART THREE: Fast forward many years, a husband, three kids, years of crafting and a ….Christmas gift wrap dilemma. This particular Christmas, I decided to make my own gift wrap. I wanted it to be different than anything anyone had seen before and I wanted it to be something you couldn’t buy. I wanted it to be unique and personal to each niece and nephew (9 or 10 at the time). I proceeded to make custom paper for each gift and it looked very much like what you see here on my site (only much bigger!!).

My unique name, those flowers in the fifth grade, and the Christmas gift wrap are the creating forces behind Echo Name Art.
