About

Hi,
I’m Rae, the eyes, mind, and hands behind EO Jewelry. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a minor in Psychology, and I have spent the vast majority of my adult life taking care of children as a nanny. My jewelry journey began when I was a tiny little girl. I’ve been obsessed with jewelry as long as I can remember. When I was very small, I would sneak into my Gram’s bathroom and dig in her jewelry box admiring her treasures. Anytime I was expected to sit still, I was always allowed to play with her rings to keep me busy. I have always loved the process of creation. I am the daughter of the most wonderful and talented woman, who truly could do anything she set her mind to. Unfortunately I lost my mom to complications after a car accident in 2013. After her accident I had to take some time off from the jewelry business to get my head straight from the devastating blow. My mother was my soulmate…

About

Hi,
I’m Rae, the eyes, mind, and hands behind EO Jewelry. My mother was my soulmate. She has inspired me in so many ways over the years and it is to her that I owe the blessings of confidence and capability in my adult life. It has been more of a struggle than I can put into words for me to face a life without her, but with the lessons she has taught me and the strength I learned from watching her face every obstacle without a flinch, I am beginning to find my way again.
It took me a while to rejoin the Etsy community after my loss, as I tend to be a rather private person, but I feel that Etsy and Handmade are about sharing the humanity behind every day and special objects. I feel a strong desire for my work to be about more than just jewelry, but about the handmade aesthetic, and therefore I try to give an honest and heartfelt account of what drives and inspires me- so that my customers can get a real feel for the person who’s hands fashioned their new treasures. In that respect it has taken some courage to finally face the world by reopening EO Jewelry- but I am excited to get back to all that I love about making jewelry for all of my wonderful customers. I love creating unique custom items for special people, I adore getting emails and earning feedback from my happy customers, and I am proud to call myself an Etsian as Etsy has afforded me more opportunities to connect with people in a creative and meaningful way than would have ever otherwise been possible. I pride myself in providing the very best customer service, as I believe that handmade is about more than just objects, but should be a personal and meaningful experience.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you!
