I am a stay at home Mama of 2 wonderful boys, and while making the decision to be home with them once my second was born was an easy one, dealing with the loss of my income for our family was not so easy. I have always been very much into cooking and making things that others choose to buy at a store, and it seemed only natural that I would begin to use these skills to explore new craft ideas and dabble in projects that might save us some pennies (or even make a few at that!). Today I enjoy spending my afternoons giggling with my boys while making fresh baby foods from our garden veggies, whipping up batches of my wonderful Eco Laundry Washing Granules to keep my baby's cloth diapers fresh as a daisy, and stitching up all kinds of baby bobbles on my vintage sewing machine! Crocheting has always been a hobby that I enjoyed, and my husband says that watching me crochet has a strange calming effect on him! LOL With a 1 year old and an 12 year old I don't have quite as much time to sit and play with yarns these days, but I still whip up a cute ZooBaby Animal Hat whenever I can!

I live in a suburb outside of Portland, Oregon and enjoy outdoor activities and traveling and camping with my wonderful husband and boys. We also have 2 Pomeranians that go everywhere with us and also enjoy my homemade sweet potato doggie treats every once in a while!

I love to use re-purposed or "recycled" materials whenever possible! I recently scored a fabulous selection of fabric scraps, ribbons, and zippers when we helped a wonderfully eccentric Native American woman move out of her small home into an apartment across town. My eyes popped out of my head as she showed me her sewing stash overflowing with gorgeous tribal prints and brightly colored smooth satins! She had miles and miles of pretty ribbons and countless other sewing bobbles that no doubt had been the remnants of some breathtaking Pow Wow Wear that she had once made for her children and friends. She noticed the twinkle in my eye and excitedly offered to give me my choice of the scraps in exchange for our help that afternoon! Deals like that I LOVE. Too good to pass up, and all of the things I will make with this fabric now has a wonderful story behind it!

I love to use organic cotton fabrics and yarns, and I have an affinity for miss matched buttons on things. Bright colors and varied textures give lots of interest. Especially when crafting things for babies!

I hope you enjoy shopping around my store, and thank you for helping support a stay at home Mom who LOVES her job! (all 783 of them ;)
