Kim Gilmore's Profile

About

I have been dabbling in all sorts of craft venues for most all of my life. I started as a little girl working on my own projects along side my mom as she tried out new and varied craft projects. I learned how to sew in grade school and have gone through periods of frequent sewing spurts and long periods of lulls (when the kids were young).

I grew up in a small town in New York State, moved to Baltimore, Maryland after college and currently reside in Barrington, Rhode Island (just outside of Providence) with my family.

I have a positive outlook on life and find ways to look for the good in everything. I’m always open to new ideas and love anything that is whimsical, fanciful, colorful and fun!

Recently though, I've been frustrated at how much waste goes into our landfills daily. I decided to try to come up with a way that I could have some sort of impact on improving our world for my children and future generations. This is how my bags have come into being.

I have a lot of fun making EcoGreenBags and creating with fun fabric designs - each bag is unique and seems to take on a personality of its own! I consider crafting my own personal form of expression and derive a great deal of joy in the process involved with each one. I never know what direction my next project will take me!
