About

I am a full-time Mama, part-time Bartender, and any-time Crafter. As an environmentalist and vegan, I try to do my part, in all aspects of my life, to reduce waste and prevent suffering. Since I've been known to have a drink or two here and there, I consider myself an Eco-Imbiber. The amount of waste that comes through my bar alone makes my hair stand on end, so I decided to start using some of these materials to create handmade, recycled treasures to share with my fellow Eco-Imbibers. I use a variety of DIY techniques, which keeps me from becoming bored, and keep my brain active.

All of the products in this shop must meet the following criteria:
~The end product must be functional
~Made from recycled and/or secondhand materials
~Beverage-related (either the base recycled materials, or the end product)…

I came up with the concept for this shop in the Spring of 2009, just before I found out I was going to be a first-time, unexpected Mommy! That put things on hold for a while. Being "blessed" with a cat-napper doesn't give me very much time to do a lot of crafting, so I just do a little bit here and there, whenever I have a few minutes to myself. Since I made the decision to stay at home with my son, rather than returning to work full time, this is my way of earning a little extra income for the household, keeping my creative juices flowing, and combining all of my passions. Don't worry-- since I became a mom, I keep my Eco-Imbibing to a minimum and leave the hangovers to the Barflies!

I also live with a VERY HAIRY Golden Retriever. I do my best to keep him out of the craft room, but if you find a bit of hair in your package, consider yourself lucky-- we all know that a Hair of the Dog will cure all that 'ales' you :)

Cheers to saving the planet!
