About

Heirloom-quality bridal jewelry and accessories with a romantic, vintage inspired sensibility.

About the Artist:

The daughter of a milliner and textile artist, Ivy Long grew up fascinated by the beautiful fabrics, trims, and beads in her mother's studio and learned to sew, knit, and embroider at an early age. Soon jewelry overtook all of her other creative interests and she went on to apprentice with and work for several jewelry designers while still in her teens. Her passion for lace was sparked in her early twenties when she came by chance across a book of reproductions of Renaissance Venetian needlelace patterns.

Captivated, Ivy began experimenting with real metal threads to create delicate lace motifs, designing her own patterns and eventually combining her love of needle arts with her jewelry-making expertise. The feminine and timeless character of lace lent itself perfectly to bridal designs, and in 2006 Ivy launched her company, Edera Jewelry. Named after the Italian word for "ivy", a symbol of love and fidelity in the language of flowers and a nod to Ivy's Italian heritage, Edera Jewelry has become known for meticulously crafted heirloom-quality bridal jewelry and accessories with a romantic, vintage-inspired sensibility.

For nearly a decade Ivy has had the pleasure of designing jewelry for brides all over the world. Her work has been featured in many national and regional wedding magazines including: Vermont Vows, Bridal Guide, Get Married Magazine, and WellWed, as well as the blogs Style Me Pretty, Wedding Nouveau, and Ruffled, among others. She creates the collection from her studio in a small historic cottage situated in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont.

About the Collection:

Edera Jewelry is a romantic collection of one-of-a-kind and limited edition lace and textile jewelry. Each piece is hand-crafted by lacemaker and jewelry designer Ivy Long in her small atelier nestled in the mountains of Vermont. Her jewelry is inspired by the rich tradition of lacemaking and needlework, the romance of past eras, the intriguing patina of age on vintage materials, and the contrast of textures and colors created by combining the softness of fibers with the sparkle and richness of gemstones and metal.

In addition to creating ready-to-wear bridal jewelry, including earrings, bracelets, brooches, necklaces, and hair ornaments, Ivy works extensively with clients on custom wedding and couture projects.
