A few little tid bits...

I am a long time resident of Northern Minnesota :) Growing up in the North Woods gave me the unique opportunity to see nature and appreciate it to the fullest. Over the years I have drawn strength and inspiration from the many lakes, rivers, and of course the many forests. My love of nature flows freely in much of my work.

As far as jewelry is concerned, I have been creating wearable art pieces for over 13 years now and I enjoy every aspect of it. My pieces are never duplicated- they change quite often as my moods change. Different colors, textures, and a different feel in general.

Fusing glass is not simply a passion of mine, it is my creative outlet. I love being able to put different colors together and watch them flow into one piece as they become molten! Many of my glass pieces are nature inspired as well. I have found that glass makes a soothing background. Adding an artistic touch to the glass with fusible paint, metal shavings, iron powder, gold leafing, and decals helps to transform my visions to reality in new ways.

You will also find woodworking items in my shop. I have been carving wood, repurposing timbers, and building everything from lawn ornaments to furniture for many years. I started making tiny animal cut outs when I was 10 years old and have never looked back! Over the years I have gone from designing and creating items to letting the wood tell me what it would like to become. I have learned to embrace the natural flow of the wood grain and work around what many see as imperfections. These character markings not only tell the story of the tree, they add a true quality to each piece created.

Expiramentation, not adaptation, feeds the soul of a true artist.

I am a proud member of JET (Jewelry on Etsy Team). An amazing bunch of talented artists from all over the world. If you would like to see more jewelry from us simply search "jetteam".
