e*phem*er*a, n. pl. 1. anything short-lived or transitory, especially all types of paper documents, both printed and handwritten, produced for a specific purpose and intended for disposal 2. the minor transient documents of everyday life 3. collectibles (such as posters, tickets, signs, letters) not intended to have lasting value

Yes, I am one of those people who passionately collects ephemera, not necessarily because of monetary value, but because I feel a connection to "treasures" of the past. To me, there is great enjoyment in finding something, and often, researching it to learn its role in our cultural past. For, indeed, there is a story behind everything! Utilizing these timeless treasures in an artistic way is my way of speaking from my soul, sharing a bit of history with others, and as EphemerArt promotes, recycling the past.
