About

Three things define who I am as an etsy seller. I am a lover of natural stones, I am a collaborator with other artists, and I am a seeker of harmony in nature and specifically color.

I have always loved rocks! Some of my all time favorites are fine turquoise, plume agates and landscape jaspers. What I really love is to take the best parts of my favorite stones and highlight their unique beauty through the process of cutting and polishing. The outcome is a miniature work of art called a "cabochon".

Sometimes that is enough. The cabochon collection that I have was amassed over 15 years of active collecting! But sometimes these beautiful focals are destined to become a pendant or bracelet. At that point, I will spend hours looking for the perfect combinations of colors and shapes and sizes of natural stone beads to make it into a…

At that point, I will spend hours looking for the perfect combinations of colors and shapes and sizes of natural stone beads to make it into a wonderful piece of jewelry.

Secondly, I am a natural collaborator. I sincerely enjoy working with others to accomplish goals, especially creative goals. I have great partnerships with Jeff Foster and Delaina Marcum and other lapidary artists who use their talents to cut and polish out the cabochons that I have chosen from slabs of raw cut rock.

Sometimes, I keep the cabs for my personal collection, sometimes I have them set in sterling silver and then make jewelry out of them. I design the concept that I want to be hand fabricated out of sterling silver and commission other wonderful artisans to use their talents to produce the settings. Some that I work with often include Laura Pacino, Jeff Foster, Alicia Conley and others.

Once the cabs are set in their "little silver jackets", I get to play with stones again to complete the design with beadwork. I am passionate when it comes to combining stones to create unique and harmonious pallet of color. Many say that is where my true artistic talents lie. I am flattered every time a customer comments on the way that I combine color and says that I have a "gift" for matching stones. This is where my love affair with jewelry first began - beading with stones.

So, as you can see, I love stones, working with others, and designing with color for harmony.

If you have time, why not take a look at my inventory and you will now better understand the process that made these items available for purchase and please know that I could not do what I love with out my wonderful customers. They are so amazing and have been such a blessing to me for many years now.

Thank you so much for supporting handmade and for caring enough to read about my little site on etsy.
