Hello!

Here in my Etsy shop you will find a current selection of my work available. My works combine hand painting onto fabric and then embellishing this with a range of different wool, cotton, & embroidery thread. I use a mixture of stitches to create a synergy of movement and dimension with these threads so your eye dances around from one intricate detail to the next. After stitching, I like to embellish the pieces further by a mix of beads in various sizes and colours (and occasionally sequins too, cos, come on, SEQUINS)

My pieces are completely made by hand, and it can be time consuming (it’s not uncommon for me to be working on a piece for about 2 months) but the process of embroidering and adding embellishments is my favourite part. I see working with the thread as an replacement to the more traditional paintbrush or pencil; with embroidery I can add colour and texture to a piece, and build it up so it’s completely dimensional and textural. I also love embroidery for that with each stitch and every bead added, it further adds to the uniqueness of the piece, ensuring that no two artworks are ever the same, and I love this aspect of handmade (and that's also why I love Etsy!)
