Tina Maier's Profile

About

I am an award-winning sewer (recently won "Best of Show 2011 - Wearable Art" & "Best of Show 2011 - Small Art Quilts) at the Marin County Fair. My mother taught me how to sew when I was about eight years old and I have been sewing ever since. I have sewn clothing, upholstery, draperies, hats, bags, and quilting for over 40 years and feel there is still so much to learn and explore. There is nothing I would rather do than touch, cut, and sew fabric. Lately I have been combining my passion for vintage clothing with my style of crazy quilting. I am also into the new movement of upcycling or repurposing used clothing into new and unusual styles.
