A designer looks at the aesthetic in everything, even the humblest every day objects and asks, "how can this be more beautiful? How can this improve my life by its function, but also by how it looks? How does its aesthetic presence effect how I feel in my space?"

I look for small objects that are often rendered badly (such as plastic fan pulls) and use the best materials to craft an item you will grow to enjoy more each day.

My hope is that you will appreciate the details you live with and be willing to pay a few more dollars for something you see every day. The cost reflects the time spent in finding and combining rare and unusual materials. I hope you will enjoy my offerings to you and share my work as unique gifts with those whom you love.

Coming from a whole family of artists, I resisted art as a career path. I chose to work in veterinary medicine until fibromyalgia deprived me of the ability to work full time. I learned though careful experimentation that I can be very productive if I can control my time and my body mechanics.

A generalist, I also design gardens, take photographs, do some web work and paint. I have two other jobs at the moment. Between those and the fibromyalgia I would appreciate your understanding that I cannot do custom work.

Please give me 3 business days to mail out your purchase. If you are in a particular hurry, please contact me and I will make special arrangements for you if possible.

I travel between Oregon and Nova Scotia once a year in a teardrop trailer. It is called the Panther Pad because I travel with my Oriental short hair cat Panther. The photo is of him enjoying the morning sun and the Eastern Sierras on top of the trailer.
