Lois Hughes' Profile

About

Hi! My name is Lois and I have called Connecticut home for all but two years of my life. I live with my family in a little wooded sanctuary full of all sorts of wildlife. As I create things for my shop, I enjoy looking through the window at the tall trees, pretty stream and rugged stonewall out back. It's a scene that's very typically Connecticut and that makes me happy.

Both of my grandfathers settled in Connecticut after immigrating here from Sweden in the mid-1920's. They married my grandmothers who were the daughters of Swedish immigrants. My maternal grandmother was named Agnes and she married my grandfather who was named Magnus. Magnus' sister lived in Sweden and was named Fanny. Guess who she married? That's right - Manny!
