About

I am originally from MA but moved to Cincinnati in 2011 to start a Ph.D. in Criminology. I started making jewelry at 11 when my mom found her hemp supplies from the 70s and gave them to me. Those ran out and I moved from macrame to beads, and began making jewelry for myself and as gifts for friends and family.

I can pinpoint the exact moment when I became serious about crafting. When I was 19, my mother gave me a handmade necklace. It was so beautiful and I was surprised that it was made entirely of beads and findings that I recognized from local craft stores. I was inspired by the realization that this was something I could make, and my talent took off from there. It wasn't long before I was no longer giving away jewelry, but selling it!

I was inspired by the realization that this was something I could make, and my talent took off from there. It wasn't long before I was no longer giving away jewelry, but selling it!

Thanks to the encouragement and support of my friends, family, and co-workers, I have a good client base and get plenty of custom orders. I love making custom items, but it is wonderful to have Etsy as an outlet to display and sell my own creations and ideas.

I am a perfectionist and every item in my store is something I am proud of. I only display items that I would purchase and be pleased to own or gift.

My primary medium is jewelry, but I am always branching out and trying new things. I have been making wine charms for the past few years and started making magnets and bookmarks within the past year. I also recently began making stitch markers, due to the urgings of my knitter friend, Perknitious. Who knows what's next!

Please visit my bridal shop on Etsy, VibrantVows. You can also find me on Facebook, where I have partnered with Perknitious to create a super three-store fanpage: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Fantasticrafts/115568131787244?ref=ts
