Hello! I'm the brains behind Fateful Fiber. I'm a knitter, crocheter, spinner, and I dabble a little bit in dyeing my own fibers.

I learned how to knit from my gramma when I was fifteen years old and I just didn't take to it. I think I produced two washcloths that were riddled with unintended holes. I refer to that as my holy knitting period ;)

Then I took up the crochet hook when I was twenty eight and things just clicked. I started with wee amigurumi dolls and over the next year or two I learned to knit lace shawls.

Spinning was just a natural progression. I spin on a wonderful vintage Ashford Scholar wheel.

When I'm not playing with fiber I work in a university library or play with my two kitties and wonderful wife in our too tiny apartment.

My favorite color is blue and I think tacos are possibly the most delicious food ever. My dream job would be to get paid to spin fiber and words into yarn and novels.
