Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by.

At the end of January 2011, I decided that I would like to learn to knit. I went out into my local town (Arundel at the time) and met a lovely lady who pointed me in the right direction. She has a beautiful shop called Fabric, buttons & Beads and one of the most gorgeous cats that I have ever seen. If ever you get the chance to pop in there and say hi, Please do. I think of her often.

I Hadn't really thought much about what I was going to put in my shop before I opened it and still haven't really to be honest. The shop was suggested to me by a friend of mine who had seen a few of my scarves dotted around my house and thought it fitted well with what i am trying to achieve with my life.

Life is a funny thing, and just not long enough. I think I want the same as most people on the planet really, just to potter in my own little bubble, surrounded by the people I love and the things that make me smile.
Making things helps massively with that and I find that the more that I make the more that I want to make. The more that I smile the more that I want to smile.

I am simply experimenting all the time, my shop like my life is just a mixture of all the different things that I have done. Sometimes there are obvious links and pathways making it clear how it is that I have gotten from one place to another and sometimes it looks like I am just making huge random leaps into the unknown.

My work is changing rapidly, thankfully not as fast as my life does and I often find myself surrounded by three or four pieces all begging for my attention, only for me to have another idea and go off and try that one instead. I may revisit the old works, I may not.
For this reason the articles in my shop are generally limited to a few numbers of each, largely because I get bored very quickly and when that happens I just hop along to the next idea. I am finding myself relying more and more on found materials too. This does limit me as far as numbers of products go, but I like the challenge as far as 'ooh, I have one of those and six of those, what could I make out of them?' goes.
It also helps that I am not harming the planet too, as these are largely items already in existence, that would normally just go into the bin. Every body wins.

I am never sure what I am going to do next or whether my goods will be sell able or just chalked down to experience.

I am having a great deal of fun with this store and more importantly I am learning a lot, I hope to see it constantly change and evolve. I hope that you enjoy looking at my goods and I would be grateful to hear any comments or feedback that you have to offer.

Have a beautiful day. :)
