I have been practicing feltmaking as a hobby since 2006 when I bought a felted bag in Barcelona and I was drawn immediately by the texture and the softness of merino wool. In 2010, I dropped my partially written potential PhD in sociology and to became a professional feltmaker.

I have been practicing feltmaking as a hobby since 2006 when I bought a felted bag in Barcelona and I was drawn immediately by the texture and the softness of merino wool. In 2010, I dropped my partially written potential PhD in sociology and to became a professional feltmaker.

I have no artistic background, which makes my style very different from everybody else! My felted works are distinguished by the use of COLOURS. These are vibrant and saturated. I also take care to make QUALITY felted items that are distinguished by their modern design.

I embarked on the journey of hand dyeing, because I never had a patience to select the colours I needed when purchasing materials, nor did I like the process of planning, organising and selecting a colour scheme for each felted piece.

Hence, In my craft work I do not feel challenged by my shortcomings, but I try to explore them in alternative ways.

Feltmaking is an addiction - a hobby which makes me happy and fulfilled! The realization that I can make things has given me a new understanding of the world around me.

I combine my etsy activities with selling my felt at farmers markets in Ireland. Both on-line and off line customer experience helps me to design and create great and colorful felt products!

I love cycling so If I am not felting (i.e in the pub fulling a pair of slippers for the next market) I will be riding across ireland (max. 190 k in a day)!
So in fact I have a lot of energy to spare, that transfers onto my scarves, dynamic, unusual and full of colour!

I also enjoy listening to BBC radio 4.
I wish I have time to learn how to make cast moulded gold jewellery!
