Liza Hamilton's Profile
I am a felting instructor and artist living in the town of Ashland, Oregon. I work in an open studio space at the 'Ashland Art Center' where I lead classes, sell my creations, and offer felting supplies.
I have always held a fascination for the natural world; astounded by its beauty, balance, and mystery. The diversity of animal life, and powerful encounters one has with animals in the wild.
In 2007 I took a wet-felting workshop with the legendary Beth & Larry Beede, who said "Anything you can imagine you can create with wool." In 2009 I graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Art with a BFA in Illustration- a degree that allowed me to explore felt making as a potential for illustration as well as fine art.
