Growing up around coastal New England, I remember when the only way to transport goods from the mainland to the many small island communities offshore was through the ferry service. These daily runs were welcomed with great joy and anticipation by the island residents, and were often the only vehicle for the movement of family and friends, goods and news from the outside world.
Today, Ferryings offers a different kind of transport: one back to a time when the world moved a bit more slowly, when goods were treasures to be cared for and shared with others. Look around, and see if you can find a memory that makes you smile.
