I was diagnosed with Lymphoma in December of 2010. After 9 months of chemotherapy, there was a long stretch of time between when my tests were done and when I would get the results whether I was in remission. Something close to 3 months of waiting. Neither my mom nor I could go that length of time waiting without a distraction.

We started going to garage and estate sales. My mom is disabled with a back condition, so the short drives between houses and walking around was a great activity for her. It was a perfect distraction from my cancer and her condition and gave us a great way to spend time together. We built up my inventory together, I couldn't have dreamed of starting it without her input and help.
