Jamie Chase is a photographer, graphic designer and self-taught artist in Central Texas. When it comes to painting, her current medium of choice is acrylic and most of her paintings are figurative, particularly focused on portraiture as an extension of her long-term fascination with the human face and form.

"Art is, and always has been, a part of who I am. I see beauty in the world around me. Each face, place and object tell a unique story and I feel driven to capture and retell them. As a student of culture as well as an artist, it is my goal to use art as a tool to document people, places and ways of life and share them with the world. A multitude of factors set each of us apart from each other and yet we are in so many ways the same.
