My shop is named for my mother, Flora, who passed away a couple of years ago. She was a seamstress and a wonderful cook. She was also a great mother. She always encouraged me, whether I was crocheting, knitting, or making jewelry, she always had constructive advice or praise for my creations. In her later years, she would sit with me in my craft room while I worked and look thru my things making suggestions.

After she passed away, making jewelry, crocheting, and knitting were comforting to me. The rhythmic motion of the knitting needles or the crochet hook kept my mind focused. Stringing together beads, turning wire for rosaries, combining tones and shapes kept my mind pleasantly distracted. Friends and family, having reaped the benefits of my labors at birthdays and Christmas, encouraged me to sell these little treasures that I love so much.
