Hope Hollingsworth's Profile
For generations, all of the women in my family have been textile artists...tatters, crocheters, knitters, quilters, seamstresses. I feel sure it's in my DNA.
I adore fabric improv, rarely working with or from patterns. My sewing room is a candy store of fabrics and trims and findings.....and I draw from all of it! I love patchwork. I love wool and other natural fibers. I love leather. I love scavenging for and re-using old fabrics. I love pairing unexpected colors and textures. And I love all folk things...indigenous textiles, folk costume, etc. I am EXCITED about making things.
A few categories you will find in the shop...
Leather: All of my leather goods are made using leather scraps salvaged from cutting room floors of leather companies and upholstery shops…
