Creating jewelry is a God-given talent that’s my passion; therefore, I named my business For The Cross Jewelry Designs. I put all of my heart and soul into each piece that I create. People often refer to me as a “jewelry artist” but I squirm every time I hear that! I suppose I am, but I don’t think of myself in such lofty terms.

My jewelry has been sold at upscale boutiques across the country, has been featured on TV shows, and I've been invited to feature my designs in the gift room at numerous celebrity events. It's so fun to know that my creations have been sent world wide, to every continent, and even to some countries that I haven't heard of.

About

A good share of my jewelry designs come from God’s creation. I was recently at a greenhouse getting flowers with my mom, and I was intently studying the blossoms on a hanging Fuchsia plant. My mom came up beside me and said, “Are you going to get that? You know you’ll kill it.” (Sadly, that's true!) I said, “Nope, just designing some earrings.” I heard a sigh, and I’m sure there was a good bit of eye rolling, but I didn’t turn around to see because I was completely enthralled by the beautiful Fuchsia flowers. That’s how a lot of my creative process happens. I often lay in bed designing jewelry instead of sleeping!

I'm fascinated with other artists' creativity so I absolutely love using their handmade beads and components. It's like having little pieces of art in my designs. When I have a design in mind, the "thrill of the hunt" for beads and components is almost as fun as the creative process!

I enjoy selling on Etsy because of the friendly atmosphere and the common interest of all the artists who sell their wares. The best part of this journey is the friendships that I’ve made with people who purchase my jewelry, and the artists and suppliers from whom I buy the goodies to create my pieces. I love hearing of people’s joy when they receive their treasures they have purchased from me.

I strive to be a good steward of what God has given me, therefore, a percentage of my proceeds go to helping the needy.
