Austin’s glass work expresses beauty in form and function. His well-crafted, lucid designs deepen the
meanings they embody. In his words, “glass has so many possibilities that it boggles the mind and fuels
imagination. The trick though, is to find the simplest path.” Austin is also an avid practitioner of Aikido
and currently lives with his Sensei. He aspires to bring the philosophy behind this practice to all aspects
of his life. “In both Aikido and glass work, you need patience and persistence. You have to understand
the fluid nature of glass while possessing complete control of the fluidity.” It is clear that the elegant and

currently works out of his studio in Seattle, Washington.
