About

I learned the craft of sewing from my mother. Many of the articles she made were out of necessity, a dress for me, a shirt or pants for my brothers, new slip covers for an old chair. I remember how she used to thread the needle with a strand of thread almost as long as her arm and put the thimble on her finger and began to sew. I always wanted a thimble and to sew like that. Now I find great pleasure in sewing, especially by hand. When I'm working on a project my thoughts turn to her and how she clothed me and the rest of the family with her loving stitches.

I'm still here creating. In the past few years here at Etsy I have learned from other sellers on the site through the blogs and browsing the shops. I don't sell a whole lot, but I am still having a great time.
