George Henry's Profile

About

I have made things for a long time. By 8 or 9, I carved wooden kitchen spoons for my Mom. By 11 or 12, graduated to making wooden boxes. By age 14, I was taking art (painting) classes, and discovered army surplus gasoline field stoves and began heating and straightening automotive leaf springs for making knives. When I was 18 the wonderful world of welding and metal fabrication was discovered and I have been in love ever since.

The things that can be done with metal and metal combined with other materials is fascinating. I want this fascination to show in the final creations.
