Retirement is a wonderful thing! I finally am getting to live my dream. Everyday I get to go into my studio and create! Everyday I learn something new.
After receiving my BFA from The Kansas City Art Institute, I went to work for Sprint where I got to use both the left and right side of my brain. I loved my job but now I really love being a full time artist. Working at Sprint prepared me for the business side of being an artist. Daily I use my Project management, process improvement, and creative problem solving skills.
For the last two years I have been focused on creating ceramic jewelry, beads, and pendants. I love color! Sometime I think I live in a crayon box - I have color everywhere. I mainly work with low fire clay and am in love with Raku! I love the spontaneity of the process.
