My four-legged partner, Cole’, short for Sobea Collector, was my inspiration to start a second job. As a wise man once said, “Equis costus muchus.” I have found that to be very true, one turned into three and the bills somehow became larger.

I picked up beading ornaments when someone gave me some seed beads. My mom likes Victorian decorations, so I thought I would try to make her a Christmas present. I did, and still had beads left over.

I made a couple more. I might have quit, but I was hired for a very boring day job. My job required sitting, watching, and very little else. Out of self-defense, I took my beading to work to stave off boredom, always designing and never repeating a pattern, that boredom thing again. My collection grew, took over a box, outgrew that, took over most of the extraneous boxes lying around my house, at which point I realized I should be selling some of my growing collection. I experimented with a couple of venues and settled on Etsy.

As an artist in glass beads, I love to capture some of that magic in one-of-a-kind, light-catching, beaded pieces. I bead at night so I can play with my horses during the day.

My dream is to use horses as a tool to teach life skills to girls. Your purchases will enable me to live that dream.
