About

Hi. I'm Kelley. I like to make stuff. Somehow at the age of thirty-one, I find myself married for four years, with a three and a two year old in tow....and a soon to arrive, gender left unknown to surprise me, third baby on the way. (Yeah, that was a pretty fast four years!)

So here I am.

While I thoroughly enjoy the opportunities presented from day to day, supplied directly by the minds of my children, sometimes I just need to create something of my own. About

Hi.

It started with a baby blanket for my first child, then I started making trinkets and clothes for my second. After that I began giving homemade creations as gifts at baby showers. And this journey has brought me to the doorstep of this world called "Etsy." Let's get this party started....

Much like the Statue of Liberty, I have a pretty simple view on the materials I choose to use: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses (of unloved clothing, towel and sheets) yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door (of my sewing machine cabinet)!"

I am a big fan of the discarded... recycling, upcycling, re-purposing... whatever you want to call it, I like it, and get an unmistakably good feeling from taking my husband's unwanted dress shirt and turning it into a dress for my little girl... oh, and I would be happy to do the same with YOUR husband's shirt for your little girl... just ask. :) While I don't claim to make everything from re-purposed goods, most of the fabric flowers and clothing embellishments in the shop are created using discarded clothing, from wedding and prom gowns to those perfect Guess dress pants my husband spilled bleach on.
