Gayla Edwards' Profile

About

I like to think of myself as an artisan, one who makes high-quality products in small quantities. With a background in design there are basic ideas that are important to me in creating my ceramic pieces, such as form and function. It's fulfilling to make an object that will somehow make the ordinary tasks of life more interesting, whether it be a mug of hot coffee or a yarn bowl of handspun yarn.
My ceramics are both wheel thrown and hand built, glazed and then fired in an oxidation kiln.
Thanks for stopping by.
