I have been creating art all of my life. My family discovered my artistic ability as a child when I would draw daisies around the door knobs in crayons and give my brother hair cuts. When I was 13 I took a trip with my mother to California to visit my uncle. There we met many interesting people in the streets of San Francisco where we began collecting beads .
My mom fed my creative spirit by buying me polymer clay, a spool of craft wire, and some nylon cord. I remember taking my necklaces with my handmade beads and wire closures to school to sell them. At 14 I was the youngest applicant to be accepted to a local juried art show in my home town of, Racine, Wisconsin. My mom and I established our business called "United Colors Wearable Art," where we made polymer clay jewelry.
