About

Due to my extremely imaginative mind, I have been creating wonderful things since I was a child.
I began cooking at the age of 5 and baking at the age of 8. I try to acquire 1-3 new skills per year adding to my long list of varied accomplishments. I am not afraid to try something new and am not deterred if something doesn’t come out perfect the first time. Yes, I am also a perfectionist! So, everything I create – both edible and non-edible have to be to the highest standard, consistency, and be both pleasing to the eye, sense of emotion, and taste, if applicable.

I work with a huge variety of mediums and tend to cross over to non-traditional blends when necessary to create just the right look and feel to my project/art piece/baked goods.

I have become accomplished in many areas, including, but not limited to the following: Baking, cake & cupcake decorating, sugar/fondant/gum paste flowers/animals/birds/objects, home-made bread, cooking, anything and everything beaded, jewelry making (including making custom beads/accessories), soldered jewelry & crafts, drawing/sketching, pastels (both oil and chalk), colored pencils/watercolor pencils, crayons (for adult creations), painting (on canvas, ornaments, wooden boxes, nick-knacks, keepsakes, etc.), decoupage, stenciling, embroidery, crewel, stump work, darning (considered a lost skill), fabric painting, crocheting, tatting, tea bag folding, quilling, origami, kirigami, scherenschnitte, card making (variety of techniques/mediums including 3-D, pop-up, and mechanical), bookmark making (3 mediums), gift tag creation, gift bag creations, gift envelopes and box construction (mini to medium sized), pipe cleaner art, clay creations (variety of clay products), some woodworking, embellishments (both edible and non-edible), custom art projects, and the list goes on……the only things I don’t know how to do are the things I have not yet come across or learned how to do.

And to top it off I work full time, am a mother of four grown children, and a grandmother of three. Hopefully, I will inspire them as well.
